We would like to inform you that the Early-Career Professionals (ECP) Committee of the European branch of the Society for Vector Ecology (E-SOVE) is planning a social and networking event during the upcoming conference in Valencia. Aimed for students, PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers, and anyone who identifies as an early-career professional, the event will offer an informal and welcoming setting where participants can meet, exchange experiences, and build connections within the vector ecology community.

The event aims to:
  • Bring together ECPs from different institutions, countries, and areas of vector ecology.
  • Encourage informal conversations, peer networking, and the exchange of experiences and career perspectives.
  • Create opportunities to connect with other members of the SOVE community, including more established researchers and professionals who may also wish to join.
  • Strengthen ECP engagement with SOVE by providing a dedicated opportunity to connect beyond the formal scientific programme.
While the precise format is still being developed, we envision a relaxed Tuesday-evening gathering with refreshments, informal social activities, and plenty of opportunities to chat and get to know one another.

The final venue, programme, capacity, and other arrangements will depend on available logistical considerations.
